Comprehensive, Engineered Traffic Safety Nz & Control Plans, Road Management Plan Waikato And Site Specific Safety Plan In Auckland & Waikato, NZ

What is a TMP?

A traffic management plan Waikato, Nz (TMP) is a temporary traffic management, site-specific road traffic safety plan Waikato that covers the design, implementation, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management (TTM) measures while work or activity is carried out in the road corridor (road, footpath or berm). The road traffic safety plan Auckland focuses on traffic control safety and road management plan Waikato and details how road users will be directed around a work site, accident, or temporary road disruption.

The aim is to balance the safety needs while achieving the minimum inconvenience for motorised traffic, cyclists and pedestrians.  These road traffic safety plan Auckland should be set up by traffic controllers to ensure there are clear, well-signed, effective and safe commuting conditions for both the road users or site workers and the traffic controllers themselves. Any TMP - Traffic Management Plan Auckland must comply with the Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) and is submitted to relevant Road Controlling Authorities (RCAs) in NZ by our team.

Layout diagrams (TMDs)

Traffic layout diagrams are drawings of how road traffic control plan auckland should be laid out in a way that is specific to your event or construction site. Their formal title is Traffic Management Diagram or TMD. The TMD is a simple-line, graphic representation of the details that the TMP - Traffic Management Plan Nz recommends for achieving safety and convenience. This visual aid includes instructions as well as an indication of the type and quantity of temporary traffic management equipment.

It is acceptable to use an all-roads generic layout diagram form (level specific) but it must be included in the TMP submission for approval to the Road traffic Control Authorities (RCA). The TMP is not restricted to one layout diagram only. Multiple diagrams may be submitted with the TMP document pack to demonstrate the breadth of the road traffic control plan for safety measures being recommended in your Waikato or Auckland site.

The RCA is legislated to decide which roads, relating to your site, can have one of the RCA generic traffic management diagrams applied to their control plan.

Layout diagrams are expected as part of the application and must show: - What signs and other traffic management devices will be used - Where the various devices (with dimensions) will be set out - A site drawing that reflects the road layout in the location.

Note: It has been observed that some of Auckland Transport’s Generic Traffic Management Diagrams can pose certain challenges due to the community’s evolving usage patterns. Some layout diagrams propose the establishment of blockages and detours that greatly diminish the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. For example, a generic Traffic Management Plan Nz diagram for Waikato might propose the closure of pedestrian flows whereas a traffic lane closure would be more suitable. The footpath closure forces pedestrians to access the road lane to cross to the other side of the road. Another example is when signage is set up or equipment is stored in a cycling lane, thereby forcing cyclists to penetrate road lanes. Due to this, our engineers frequently need to design customised TMP control diagrams in order to reduce your liability and the risk of accidents.

How this process works-

We analyse the scope of work and develop the methodology adapting the Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS)/ Site Specific Safety Plan Nz (SSSP) in road reserve. Once the plan is drafted, we send it back to our Clients for their confirmation before submitting to the Road Controlling Authorities (RCA). We will send you an email notification once we receive the approvals.
